Haim Aaron is an ultra-orthodox Jew who's the pride of his father's heart. One day after a too strict fast, he feels unwell while at the same time an unworthy urge rises from his lower abdomen. At first he's left for dead until the power of faith and a father's love bring him back to life. But nothing is as it was before…

Shot in magnificent black and while, Tikkun paints the fascinating portrait of a completely obsolete community rubbing shoulders with modernity. Between Dreyer and Woody Allen, Avishai Sivan manages to move and make us laugh at the same time.
