L'Homme qui plante les baobabs

Forest Trilogy

An unloved tree, as it is said to absorb the vital energy of those who plant it, the baobab would already have begun its decline if a visionary and passionate man had not restored its reputation. Salifou Ouédraogo recognised in time the nutritional, medicinal and sustainable properties of this exceptional tree early on and has been patiently planting it for 50 years.

Near his village, people are flocking to learn, collect young trees, or offer assistance. At 83 years old, having become a true expert, Ouedraogo reigns supreme over his forest of 4,600 baobab trees stretching as far as the eye can see!

A magnificent portrait of a passionate, persevering and generous man.
