At Ai and Yu's secondary school, a strange cult-like mentality is taking shape day by day: the formation of a human pyramid to which everyone seems to submit willingly. Not understanding this absurd ritual, Ai, Yu and a few other pupils refuse to take part. Becoming outcasts, hounded by both teachers and students, the small group of rebels fights against irrationality in its own way...

Through this chilling and absurd social satire, Yūta Shimotsu offers a frightening vision of the growing trend of sectarian and ideological extremism. Its stylised and anxiety-inducing staging is reminiscent of the grotesque world of the mangaka Junji Itō, where the bizarre flirts with the monstrous.
