Maya, who lives with her husband and teenage son, works several jobs in a dusty suburb of Kolkata. And for good reason: her silent husband suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, which he copes with by drinking. Torn between shame and affection, the son does his best to cope with his failing father, while Maya, with unwavering dignity, naively tries to find a job for her husband, to whom she is fiercely loyal.
When he disappears one night and the police intervene, Maya realises that her resilience has reached its limit…

Driven by a flawless performance by actress Tillotama Shome, who is seen throughout the film, this is a delicate and generous co-production about mental health issues and, above all, love and loyalty.
