Tam, a planner of lavish and kitsch weddings, learns that her husband is unfaithful. She calls upon a mage to use spells against him. Her daughter, who watches her mother with a critical eye, wants to leave the country for a better future. As the two women struggle with their respective problems, the resolution of which seems as unlikely for one as for the other, the ceiling cracks in their shared flat and a black liquid gradually oozes out, invading their space and visible only to them...

Having already made several short films about middle-aged women, Dương Diệu Lin here delves deeper into gender roles over which a monstrous spirit hovers, and offers a delightful plot verging on the absurd and surreal.
