After years of estrangement, Lina, a Moldovan journalist, receives a video message from her migrant father and hatchet man in Italy, showing her bruises on his arms. This will be an opportunity for Lina to find him, to help him, and above all to confront him with the tyranny he has exercised over his family...

Equipped with a camera, she tries to bring her father's case before the authorities and, at the same time, to trace the roots of the abuse she endured in her youth, in order to unravel the knots in their relationship. Why was there so much domestic violence? When did it start? Backing up her words with discussions with other members of her family, who see patriarchal toxicity as part of an immutable system, Lina gradually calls into question behaviours and reflexes that seemed ingrained in her family.
A long, slow road to reconciliation and salutary awareness.
