The Missing

Eric is an animator in a small studio and leads a normal life. He is a quiet young man, who befriends his colleague Carlo. Eric is special in that he has no mouth.
When his mother asks him to check if his uncle, who no one has heard from anymore, is doing well, Carlo accompanies Eric to support him and see what has happened. Shocked, Eric dreams that aliens are abducting him and taking him far away from Earth... a dream he has already had in other shocking circumstances related to his childhood.

Magnificent and moving rotoscoped animation, a technique that consists of redrawing frame by frame the contours of a filmed figure, enriched with childlike drawings, evoking trauma, resilience and solidarity.
