Seoul, 1970s. Director Kim sets out to re-shoot the ending of his last film to make it an authentic masterpiece; but in the face of censorship, the over-inflated egos of the actors and the zeal of the producers, the task proves complicated, if not impossible. But Kim (the brilliant Song Kang-ho), is stubborn and will try at all costs to overcome this chaos in order to complete what he believes to be his ultimate film.

Cobweb, Kim Jee-woon's tenth feature film, marks the director's return to comedy with a hilarious behind-the-scenes satire of a film shoot; it also provides a rare glimpse into the particularly dark political period of 1970s South Korea and offers a ferocious satire on the world of cinema, creativity and the vocation of filmmaking.
