The First Slam Dunk

Ryota is the leader of the Shohoku high school basketball team. He follows in the footsteps of his older brother Sota, who instilled in him a passion for basketball and who died when he was just a teenager. As Ryota and his team-mates take on the strongest team in the league, he reminisces about his time with his brother and other important events in his life.

Takehiko Inoue, the author of Slam Dunk (1990 - 1996), a manga devoted to basketball, is himself in charge of directing this feature-length animated film, which is a captivating introduction to his comic saga, one of the best-selling series in the world.
