Toll

Suellen works as a toll booth attendant on the outskirts of a small town that is constantly shrouded in fog or factory smoke. She discovers first that her loser boyfriend lives off petty theft and then that her teenage son makes online videos where he sings dressed in pink. What’s worse? After lighting a manhood candle, her colleague tells her that there is a very effective conversion therapy during "rainbow month against pederasty". As this is proving to be very expensive, Suellen turns to her ex-friend to find some easy money...

The church takes a beating in this film, which veers between crude realism and grotesque farce, and the protagonists are not spared.
