Harvest

In an undefined era, during a hallucinatory week, an unnamed village disappears day after day. The intrusion of three types of intruders disrupts the idyllic agrarian community, whose daily life until now has been punctuated by the harvest and its sharing: the cartographer, travelers and the businessman. So many potential threats in this verdant landscape. The well-intentioned farmer and his best friend, the village chief, must face this invasion from the outside world... but the villagers still have to agree on the methods, and then the trouble begins!

Adapted from Jim Crace's eponymous novel, Harvest is a tragicomic parable about modernity, served up by brilliant photography and meticulous language. A dense and dazzling western.
